During your flight, try to follow these simple tips that will ease your trip!

 

 

Avoid heavey meals or alchohol before travelling

While boarding on the aircraft you are kindly requested not to push those sitting in front of you, whether on the stairs or in the aisle

Passengers are advised to hold the handrail while they are climbing on the stairs

Do not place heavy hand luggage, clothes or items close to the opening of the overhead baggage bin

We suggest you wear your seat belt at all times during the flight, as unexpected turbulence may occur

If you are seated in an aisle area, you are advised to mind your head, legs, arms and elbows during the flight, to avoid being bumbed by catering and duty-free trolleys

An aircraft cabin can feel a bit cold. Be sure to pack an extra sweater or ask the cabin crew for a blanket

If your have a medical condition that may become an issue during the flight, inform a flight attendant, a counter agent or a gate agent of the possibility

Do not speak loudly. You are not travelling alone

Bring with you books or magazines, in order to keep you mind distract during the flight, especially if it is a long distance or if you are afraid of aeroplanes

The coffee and drink served are hot, so do not try to drink them immediately

Chew a piece of gum or suck on a sweet, to avoid reduce discomfort in the ears while flying

For an added precaution, consult your physician before flight and take medication as advised

Open the overheaded bins carefully, as heavy objects may fall out and injure seated passengers

Those seated behind the business class divider, are requested not to touch the curtain for any reason

Follow the instructions of the flight attendants

Keep yourself and your child awake during the take off and the landing, because during your sleep you do not swallow as often and it is harder to keep up with the changes from the air pressure

Bring along safe toys for your kids. If your child has an electronic game, allow them to use it only to the cruise portion of the flight

Seat your child away from the aisle. Better seat them between yourself and the window and make sure he wears his seat belt or an infant safety belt at all times

Tips in case your child feels uncomfortable due to pressure changes of the cabin: In case of babies and toddlers, breast feed, bottle feed them or give them a pacifier (not during the take off and the landing). To older children give a gum a hard candy to suck on and remind them yawn frequently

In case you feel nausea, open the air vents above your head, lie back your seat and try to relax

If you have a cold or an ear infection, see your physician before flying


Although flying with an airplane is the easiest and faster way for someone to travel, many people suffer from the anxiety of flying. To help you relax and enjoy the flight, try some of the following tips:

--Adjust your seat in a reclining position, unless advised otherwise by the cabin crew

--Close your eyes and imagine a pleasant environment

--Hear your favorite music

--Bring with you a book or a magazine and read something interesting that will abstract your mind from the flight

--Breath in, count to three and then breath out counting to three. Do this for 10 minutes

--Consult your physician before flight and take medication as advised

 

The contents and specifications of the first aid and physician's kits carried on the board of the aircraft, are laid down by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and cannot not be modified without their approval. Therefore, guests are requested to carry all medication that they may need, in their hand luggage.
