What to expect:
In general, Istanbul has a humid subtropical climate that is mild with no dry season. Usually, summers are hot and muggy with thunderstorms and winters are mild with precipitation from mid-latitude cyclones.
Winter (November to February): Temperatures during this period is quite cold… 9.3°C (48.8°F) on average falling to 3.3°C (38°F) overnight. Winter is the most wet season, so expect fog, rain, and even snow. You can certainly expect less crowds and better deals on accommodation
Spring (March to mid-June): Certainly one of the best times to visit Istanbul. Spring brings the Tulip Festival and the city offers an explosion of color. Temperatures climb reaching 16°C (60.8°F) generally in the afternoon with overnight lows of 7.3°C (45.2°F)
Summer (Mid-June to August): The temperature will be around 30 C, but it feels much hotter due to humidity. These are the months where the city gets more crowded! There are no rains and the daytime lasts until 9:30 at night!
Autumn (September to October):It’s the perfect time to visit Istanbul and enjoy the city at its best. Visitors will be greeted by comfortable temperatures with average highs of 19.7°C (67.4°F) during the day and lows of 12.7°C (54.8°F) generally shortly after sunrise
